Peter Lange

Peter Lange, Provost Emeritus of Duke University, joined Isaacson, Miller in 2015 to lead the firm's Higher Education Strategy practice. Peter advises clients on the strategic and operational issues that arise during leadership searches and in the transition period that follows the assumption of their new roles. He also provides support to established leaders on the strategic planning process and executing the resulting initiatives. His counsel and services are offered as a complement to the firm's executive search services. Peter is the Thomas A. Langford Emeritus Professor of Political Science and Public Policy at Duke University.

In addition to his emeritus positions, Peter is a Fellow, American Association for the Advancement of Science. Prior to serving as Duke's Provost, Peter was a professor and chair of its Political Science department. He also taught at Harvard University, where he was an Associate Professor of Political Science. Peter is the recipient of the 2014 American Association of University Administrators, Eileen Tosney Award for Career Service in Higher Education, recognizing outstanding, long-term experience as an administrator in the field of higher education.
