A longstanding member of the firm, and former founding member of its executive committee, Karen Wilcox has overseen searches across the full range of Isaacson, Miller's practices. She spearheaded our firm's environmental practice, having recruited CEOs for many of the country's leading environmental and conservation organizations. She has also led numerous searches in the foundation community for heads of private, family, and community philanthropies, as well as for trustees.

Today, Karen focuses primarily on CEO searches, working in close collaboration with search committees and governing boards.  Over her years at Isaacson, Miller, she has served an array of civic organizations including research and educational institutions, advocacy groups, and cultural institutions. Clients value her ability to work closely and respectfully with their staff, volunteers, and candidates, and they appreciate her genuine commitment to the missions of their organizations.

For nearly four decades, Karen has helped build and grow the firm by developing and expanding our practice areas and nurturing the next generation of accomplished, passionate recruiters. She puts quality and meticulous service above all else, applying these principles in all her searches. These are the same principles she has encouraged among her colleagues, ensuring our firm stays true to its standards, values, and commitments for years to come.
