Alycia Johnson

Alycia Johnson brings more than a decade of higher education administration experience. Prior to joining Isaacson, Miller in 2019, she served as the Director of Admissions, Recruitment, and Enrollment at American University’s School of Professional & Extended Studies and the Executive Director for Admissions at Trinity Washington University. 

Since joining Isaacson, Miller, Alycia has worked on a broad array of searches with a particular focus on enrollment management, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and presidential searches. She has worked on recent presidential searches at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Howard University, and Hamilton College. She has worked on enrollment leadership searches for institutions such as the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, University of Michigan, SUNY University at Buffalo, Rochester Institute of Technology, Old Dominion University, and Transylvania University. 

Alycia’s doctoral training in higher education administration informs her approach to higher education leadership and access and belonging. Her passion for access and equity in higher education has led to her founding of an LLC that assists high school and college students with the college admissions process, with a particular focus on assisting first-generation students and students from historically marginalized backgrounds.

Additionally, she serves as a mentor for first-generation college students through the Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement, helping students navigate college, the graduate admissions process, and their careers. Alycia is on the Associate Leadership Board for Phoenix Charter Academy and is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 

Alycia holds a BA from Northeastern University, an MA from the University of Miami, and an EdD from The George Washington University.
