Director, Collins Memorial Library University of Puget Sound | Tacoma, Washington The University of Puget Sound has selected Annie Downey for the role of the Collins Memorial Library Director. She will assume the role in July 2024. Annie serves as the associate dean of university libraries at the University of Washington Tacoma. Prior to this, Annie worked across libraries at the University of Redlands, Reed College, and the University of North Texas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, a master’s in library and information science, and a Ph.D in higher education administration. The author of three books, Annie has written and presented on service design, information literacy, and women in libraries, among other topics. “My vision is to find ways to connect the library more strongly with the campus community and with the broader community,” says Downey.Read the full announcement here.
