Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications

University of Puget Sound will welcome Staishy Bostick Siem as associate vice president for Marketing & Communications, effective December 2, 2024. Siem will oversee the university’s marketing and communications efforts, including branding, public relations, social media, and digital communications. She will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to support the university’s mission and goals.

Siem brings more than 25 years of experience working in marketing and communications, most recently serving as development communications director at the University of Washington. She has an impressive history of building and implementing effective marketing strategies, elevating institutional brands, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Previously, Siem held leadership positions at the UW School of Law and School of Nursing, where she successfully led marketing and communications teams and implemented strategic plans that resulted in increased brand awareness, improved enrollment outcomes, expanded alumni engagement, and growth in philanthropic support.

Siem earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington and a certificate in business administration from the University of Washington Foster School of Business. She is also actively involved as a volunteer in a number of nonprofit organizations that share her commitment to education, civil rights, social justice, and environmental stewardship.
