Associate Dean for Research and Scientific Advancement University of North Carolina at Greensboro, School of Nursing | Greensboro, North Carolina Kate Clouse, PhD, has been appointed as the new Associate Dean for Research and Scientific Advancement. Her official start date is July 1, 2025. Dr. Clouse is a public health researcher and infectious disease epidemiologist. Her career includes over two decades of global health research, with extensive experience in low-resource settings, particularly South Africa. She earned her PhD in Epidemiology from UNC-Chapel Hill and has since led numerous data-driven initiatives, including field data collection, quality assurance, database development, and mixed-methods research. Her work addresses critical public health challenges, and she is recognized as a generous mentor and collaborative leader. She has been continuously funded by NIH since 2015.
