Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education University of Missouri, School of Medicine | Columbia, Missouri University of Missouri, School of Medicine has selected Dr. Kevin Kane, MD, MSPH, to serve as the next Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education. Dr. Kane has served as interim in the role since October 2023. Dr. Kane is a professor of family and community medicine. Prior to stepping into the interim role, he served as Associate Dean for Curriculum and Evaluation since 2016. He also provides outpatient care at the Family Medicine-South Providence clinic in Columbia.Since joining the University of Missouri-Columbia’s School of Medicine, Dr. Kane has held various positions in education and curriculum. He has served as Director for Introduction to Patient Care Block 5, the Co-Director for the Contemplating Medicine, Patients, Self, and Society (COMPASS) course, and the medical education Director for the Rural Scholars Program. Dr. Kane received his B.A. and M.D. from Creighton University and his Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
