Campaign Director Pomona College | Claremont, California Pomona College (Pomona) is pleased to announce the appointment of Erica Sitko as the next campaign director, effective January 6, 2025. Reporting to Vice President for Advancement Maria Watson, Sitko will serve as a key architect and driver of a historic and ambitious comprehensive campaign to advance the mission and impact of Pomona College. Sitko will be a critical partner for College leadership as well as academic and program leaders. She will also work collaboratively with core constituencies — including faculty, staff, alumni, families, and volunteers — as a high-level strategist and facilitator in developing and implementing plans and tactics to coalesce fundraising activities and transformational gifts under the campaign’s banner.Sitko is a seasoned philanthropy professional specializing in campaign management, gift strategy for major and principal giving, donor relations, and stewardship. Sitko spent the last ten years with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association (LA Phil) leading the efforts for the organization’s successful $500 million Centennial Campaign in which she was responsible for a variety of capital, endowment, and pandemic-relief campaign projects. Following the campaign’s completion in 2021, Sitko stepped into a new role as director for stewardship and principal gift strategy, formalizing the LA Phil’s stewardship and donor relations efforts and bringing the organization in-line with industry best practices in reporting, engagement, and recognition of the organization’s donors. Holding a dual role in principal gift strategy, Sitko also supported executive leaders and the philanthropy team with innovative gift strategies and proposals leading to successful six- and seven-figure commitments to support a wide variety of programmatic areas. Prior to joining the LA Phil, Sitko was part of the development team at NYU Langone Medical Center supporting areas of strategic initiatives, major gifts, and stewardship.Sitko earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dramatic Literature, Theatre, History, and Cinema and a Master of Public Administration degree with an emphasis on Public and Nonprofit Management from New York University. Sitko has also completed a Certificate in Fundraising from NYU and holds the designation of Certified Specialist in Planned Giving (CSPG) from the American Institute for Philanthropic Studies at Cal State Long Beach.Rachel Ellenport led this search with Christina Garrison and Megan Gorman.
