Vice Provost for Student Life Creighton University | Omaha, Nebraska Creighton University has selected Dr. Eric Baldwin for the role of vice provost for Student Life. He will begin his appointment on June 24, 2024. Dr. Baldwin brings over 30 years of experience in student affairs, most recently serving as the vice president for student development at the University of Lynchburg in central Virginia. Prior to this, he was assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Gonzaga University, a Jesuit institution in Spokane, Washington. Throughout his career, Dr. Baldwin has focused on building strong connections between academic affairs and promoting holistic approaches to the student experience.A first-generation college student, Dr. Baldwin received his undergraduate degree in political science from Appalachian State University. He later earned his master’s degree in student personnel administration from James Madison University before completing a Doctor of Ministry from Virginia Theological Seminary.
