Assistant Vice President of Development Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center | Cincinnati, Ohio Following a competitive national search, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has appointed Angela Young as the next assistant vice president of development, effective November 11, 2024. As assistant vice president of development, Young will develop fundraising strategy and lead initiatives across major, planned, foundation, auxiliary giving, and prospect development and research. In close partnership with the senior vice president of development and the senior leadership team, Young will contribute to the departmental strategic planning process and further implement systems and best practices to elevate and expand the impact of Cincinnati Children’s fundraising operation. An accomplished and strategic advancement leader, Young currently serves as the associate dean for development at the school of engineering at Stanford University. As associate dean, Young oversees development and donor relations, leading a staff of 20, and partners closely with the dean of the school to develop and execute fundraising strategy. Young redesigned the structure and strategy for the entire operation at Stanford Engineering, resulting in significant fundraising success and meaningful donor engagement. Prior to Stanford, Young served as a vice president with Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A), where she specialized in consulting partnerships with leading higher education and academic medical institutions. Prior to GG+A, Young had an impactful tenure at Rice University, where she led the fundraising program for the school of engineering and later co-led the major gifts program. Prior to Rice, Young held roles in healthcare fundraising at MD Anderson and Baylor College of Medicine.Young holds a bachelor of science in psychology from the University of Houston and a master in liberal arts from the University of St. Thomas.Rachel Ellenport led this search with Grace Zakim, Bryce Ervin, and Lisa Clayton.
