Chief Development Officer The 92nd Street Y, New York | New York, New York The 92nd Street Y (92NY) has appointed Terri Coppersmith as chief development officer, effective April 2, 2025. Coppersmith brings over 25 years of development experience in arts and culture, education, and conservation. Coppersmith will report to President Alyse Myers and CEO Seth Pinsky and will be a key executive team member, leading a comprehensive fundraising enterprise for a renowned New York institution and its diverse cultural programs. Coppersmith will join 92NY at a pivotal time in its history as it celebrates its 150th anniversary and concludes a corresponding $150 million campaign.Coppersmith will join 92NY from The Cooper Union (CU), where she is currently the vice president of alumni affairs and development. She has been instrumental in overhauling and creating CU’s advancement program to cultivate a culture of philanthropy necessary to return to CU’s original free tuition model. Prior to joining CU, Coppersmith held leadership roles at the Central Park Conservancy, the Whitney Art Museum, and the Liberty Science Center among others. During her 13-year tenure at the Central Park Conservancy, she served as VP for development and external affairs and later as VP for visitor experience at the CPC Institute for Urban Parks.
