By overseeing and unifying all university-wide efforts, the Vice Chancellor will establish a cohesive platform that aligns messaging and branding, advances institutional goals, supports individual units, and profoundly engages both on-campus and external audiences, including students’ families, donors, alums, government officials, and community partners.The successful candidate will have a record of success as an innovative and collaborative leader in large, complex organizations with substantial experience developing and implementing multi-faceted marketing and communications efforts that position and elevate the perception of an entire institution, brand, or company with multiple audiences. This person will need exceptional diplomacy, discretion, and judgment; a complete understanding of the marketing, communications, and branding process from creative conceptualization to implementation; expert knowledge of traditional, digital, video, and emerging media and media relations; a nuanced understanding of how to balance exceptional creativity with rigorous, data-driven metrics; and demonstrated success fostering an empowered team culture and building an efficient, cohesive, and collaborative work ethic.
