Senior Research Scientist Faculty - Tenure Track University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing | Omaha, Nebraska The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing (UNMC CON) seeks a distinguished scholar for a tenure-track faculty position, with the potential to hold an Endowed Professorship or Endowed Chair appointment. Established in 1917, the UNMC College of Nursing spans five campuses and is dedicated to improving healthcare through excellence in research, education, and community engagement, with a particular focus on rural and underserved communities in Nebraska. The College has $7.5 million in current research funding with research expertise concentrated around five areas: Health Equity: Emphasis on Rural and Underserved Populations, Chronic Care Management: Emphasis in Cancer and Cardiovascular Outcomes, Symptom Science Across the Lifespan, Implementation Science and Health Care Delivery, and Teaching and Learning. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Nursing or a closely related discipline, meet the qualifications for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, and demonstrate a sustained record of externally funded research. They will be highly collaborative with experience successfully working across disciplines and bring a deep passion for mentoring junior faculty and students. UNMC CON is specifically seeking senior researchers to lead and advance work in Chronic Care Management, Health Equity, and Symptom Science. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in cancer-focused research; however, highly funded and recognized researchers with established programs in other relevant areas will also be considered.
