Director of Didactic Education

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking two leaders for its Central Coast Physician Assistant Program: a Director of Clinical Education and a Director of Didactic Education. These roles require individuals who are collaborative, innovative, and committed to enhancing diversity within the physician assistant workforce. The program aims to train students to serve medically underserved communities, emphasizing cultural humility and inclusivity, with a significant portion of its student body coming from historically underrepresented groups.

The CCPA Program, established in partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers in 2019, offers a unique 24-month curriculum that includes a year of didactic education followed by 35 weeks of supervised clinical practice. Students gain hands-on experience at various medical centers across the U.S., focusing on community health. The program's mission aligns with ATSU’s commitment to whole-person healthcare and serving vulnerable populations.

Both director positions involve strategic leadership responsibilities, including curriculum development, faculty management, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. The Directors will work collaboratively with other program leaders to enhance educational quality and foster an inclusive environment. They will also be tasked with developing partnerships with clinical sites to provide diverse learning experiences for students.

Candidates for these positions should possess substantial academic and clinical experience, effective communication skills, and a commitment to mentorship and collaboration. The anticipated salary ranges The anticipated salary range for this position at the assistant professor level is $97,800 to $144,200; at the associate professor level is $109,000 to $161,000; and the full professor level is $134,600 to $199,400.
