President and CEO The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts (PO/EA) has emerged in the last four years as a grand and leading combined performing arts and orchestra organization. The Board of Trustees seeks a President and CEO to lead the organization and to help inspire the entire region with the best of the performing arts. In 2021, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Kimmel Center, Inc. merged to form one organization, now known as The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts (PO/EA). The merger consolidated the boards, leadership teams, and venues of the two organizations into one parent company and created new, mutual opportunities for both organizations. The merger is proving successful in management, in audience, and in finance. It combines a world-class orchestra with a premier presenting arts organization that hosts the ballet, the opera, Broadway shows, music of all sorts, and multiple other performing arts, with over 2,000 events annually. As the organization develops its reputation for the finest programming, highlights the domestic and international standing of its orchestra, and books the most exciting entertainment, it can galvanize its audience in the region, developing a pathway for performing arts anywhere in the country.Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts possesses a strong board that guided the merger, along with key figures in the Philadelphia business and philanthropic community. The board has strong relationships and is in easy dialogue with the donor community of the region. The next President and CEO of the combined organization will have the rare opportunity to lead one of the greatest orchestra organizations in the world, combined with one of the most complexly integrated performing arts centers, in a region where they hold an unchallenged reputation.
