Head of School The Peddie School | Hightstown, New Jersey We are pleased to announce that Peddie’s Board of Trustees has selected James “Jim” Hamilton to serve as the 17th head of school of The Peddie School.Jim is currently the Head of School at Berwick Academy. A graduate of The Roxbury Latin School, Jim credits his independent school experience with transforming his life. Jim began his career at Brooks School as an admissions officer, dorm parent, and coach. He then served as the Director of Admission and Financial Aid at St. George’s School for nine years before returning to Brooks as the Associate Head for External Affairs, a position he held for five years before coming to Berwick. In 2021, Jim was elected to both the Heads and Principals Association and Heads Collegiate Forum.Jim is a graduate of Amherst College (B.A., English) and Wesleyan University (M.A., Liberal Studies). He is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Roxbury Latin School in Boston and is a class agent at Amherst College.
