Karaugh Brown | Chief Advancement Officer Whitney Museum of American Art, Chief Advancement Officer Following a competitive national search, the Whitney Museum of American Art has appointed Karaugh Brown as the new chief advancement officer, effective August 26, 2024. As the chief advancement officer, Brown oversees the strategy, policy, and execution of the museum’s advancement department and partners closely with the director, senior staff, and board of trustees in leading the Whitney’s comprehensive fundraising efforts. Brown brings more than two decades of fundraising experience in arts and cultural institutions. Prior to the Whitney, Brown most recently served as the vice president of development and partnerships at World Monuments Fund (WMF) where she oversaw all aspects of fundraising at WMF's global headquarters in New York. Brown holds a bachelor of arts in English and art history and a master of arts in art history from Boston University.Read the full announcement here.
