Upinder Singh, MD | Chair of Internal Medicine University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine, Chair of Internal Medicine The University of Iowa has named Upinder Singh, MD as Chair of Internal Medicine at the Carver College of Medicine. Singh serves as Professor and Division Chief of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at Stanford University. She is a physician-scientist with clinical expertise in infectious diseases, and her research interests include parasitology and COVID-19. She also serves as Associate Chair for faculty development in Stanford’s Department of Medicine.Singh championed research efforts in COVID-19 by leading multiple investigator-initiated clinical trials in 2020, contributing to the leadership of large, national COVID-19 Treatment studies, including ACTIV-2, leading the Stanford hub for the NIH RECOVER study, and initiating the first study globally to study the effect of Paxlovid on Long-Covid.
